A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Naturally Cleanse your Face

It seems like it should be easy enough, but a walk down the beauty aisle of your local drugstore might soon have you believing otherwise. Cleansers, scrubs, peel-away masks and many other means of getting your face clean are being marketed. All claiming to be  the new and improved, best way ever to cleanse your face.

Like so many things in life, sometimes less is truly more. This step-by-step guide will take you back to the basics and leave your skin glowing.

Cool your jets

Hot water feels great, but it strips the skin of its natural oils and promotes inflammation.

Select the most gentle, natural cleanser you can find

Look for simple, natural ingredients and avoid products with sulphates!

Go easy with the scrub!

Scrubs can be invigorating, but when choosing a natural exfoliant (like flaxseed or oatmeal), choose a finely milled product. Use it once or twice a week. There’s no need to exfoliate daily.

Pat dry and moisturize
